"CyBio SELMA simplifies our workflows and allows us to prepare our DNA samples quickly and efficiently for reliable PCR results," says Ashwin Khobragade. At Ankur Seeds, the CyBio SELMA 96/25 μL model is used for dispensing microvolume DNA of 1–2 μl from four different 96-well plates into a 384-well plate for further processing. The ability to process microvolumes reliably and with a high degree of automation was a key factor in the decision in favour of the CyBio SELMA. "In addition to the performance features of the device, Analytik Jena‘s guarantee was another important factor for us. It emphasises the claim to reliability of the system and provides us with security," adds Ashwin Khobragade.
About CyBio SELMA
CyBio SELMA is a semi-automatic pipettor with 96 or 384 pipetting channels for easy and fast filling of 96- and 384-well microplates without the need for programming. The user is guided intuitively through the interface via an integrated touch screen. Different pipetting modes are easily selectable to create and save individual workflows. Applications such as replication and reformatting of whole microplates can be executed in seconds. Medium exchange or serial dilution are done easily and with reproducible results due to 96 or 384 parallel pistons and a proven tip sealing principle. What’s more the instrument comes with a small footprint requiring only minimum bench space.
